Creativity in Times of Crisis

Abandoned

“For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a fascination with old, historical and forgotten places and things. I’m curious about the people who occupied those spaces, the stuff they’ve left behind, and how society has evolved and left these monuments in its wake.”
Automobiles, microcosms of peoples’ lives, discarded, often still containing the voices of past owners. Forgotten under the back seat, in the glove compartment, the trunk, items left behind tell the stories of those lives.
Once a shelter for women of unsound mind, the roof now caves in and vegetation swallows the exterior. If one ventures through the thorns, one will find the vestiges of a great monument, both to human suffering and love.
